UPDATE – SURESLIM franchisees

If Australian SureSlim franchisees are issued an urgent notice requesting they agree to new ‘terms of agreement and business agreement’ franchisees need to confirm that ‘correct information has been made available’ to them by the National and International Franchisor and the caretaker company acting on behalf of the SureSlim International Franchisor, for example SureSlim Holdings Pty Ltd.

For ACCC is concerned that without correct information franchisees may not be aware of what they might be giving up in agreeing to any new settlement or agreement.

Check:

Is the information incorrect, incomplete or likely to mislead franchisees.
Has the Franchisor contravened sections 51AC, 51AD, 52 and 59 of the Trade Practices Act 1974.[1].
Will franchisees as a supplier to consumers contravene sections 51AC, 51AD, 52 and 59 of the Trade Practices Act 1974.[1].

The SureSlim Lies website was formed by former franchisees of SureSlim to raise awareness of the unconscionable conduct of the SureSlim Franchisor towards its franchisees. It was also formed to protect the interests of current and future franchisees by making public the traps and frauds that they may be subject to whilst they are franchisees of SureSlim.

Perhaps the information provided here will prevent some from making the mistake of purchasing a SureSlim franchise until the Australian and International Franchisor cleans up their act.

The goal of this website is to highlight issues of opportunism within SureSlim and to draw attention to the serious problems that can be found with the management of the company, the lack of support and traps that can be found within the franchise agreement, disclosure document, licence agreement and misrespresentations.

Until SureSlim take responsibility for their unacceptable behaviour towards previous franchisees and takes steps to eradicate this behaviour, their current and future franchisees are in a very risky situation.
